    The role sits in the Quilter Legal Department reporting to the Deputy Head of Legal and working with other members of the team.


    The successful candidate will provide timely, high quality and commercial legal advice to Quilter's platform and financial advice businesses and central functions.

    You will have the opportunity to get involved in a wide breadth of commercial matters both contentious and non-contentious.


    Whilst needing to be able to support any area covered by the Legal team, commercial contract delivery will be a key focus of the role.

    This work will include contracts relating to the procurement of technology and services from suppliers, working closely with the Procurement team, and contracts with financial advisers, working closing with the relevant business contract management teams.

    Supporting the Deputy Head of Legal on corporate transactions, such as acquisitions and disposals, as required.

    Assisting the Head of Legal in relation to customer complaints and disputes as required.

    General commercial legal advice on any matter impacting the business.

    Sourcing and managing cost effective external legal advice where required to protect business interests.

    Provision of specialist advice and guidance on relevant legal updates and legislative developments.


    Reporting effectively on legal issues and risk exposure and escalating actions as appropriate (e.g., under the Legal Risk Policy) and generally minimising exposure to litigation, risk and associated costs.

    Promoting the operational efficiency of the Legal team.

    You will have experience of advising on commercial contracts including technology contracts.
