Senior Associate Sustainability - United Kingdom - Devinfo

    Devinfo
    Default job background
    Description

LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group) is a leading global financial markets infrastructure and data provider. Our purpose is driving financial stability, empowering economies and enabling customers to create sustainable growth. Our culture of connecting, creating opportunity and delivering excellence shapes how we think, how we do things and how we help our people fulfil their potential.

LSEG's purpose is to drive financial stability, empower economies and enable our customers to create sustainable growth.

With a global presence and a central position throughout the financial trade lifecycle, LSEG (The London Stock Exchange Group) has a critical role in helping to re-engineer the financial ecosystem and contribute to the global imperative to decarbonise, innovate and grow the green economy.

That's why sustainability is one of LSEG's Group Strategic Objectives. We want all our employees to be advocates for our sustainability ambitions and for the LSEG brand to be synonymous with sustainability.

This Corporate Affairs & Marketing business partnering role contributes to the creation of a single strategic Corporate Affairs & Marketing plan in support of LSEG's sustainability goals and the LSEG Foundation.

The role holder leads the employee communications plans, activities and initiatives to drive these goals. It also drives employee communications that ensures awareness of – and engagement with – the work done by the LSEG Foundation (LSEG's global focal point for all our local community activities and initiatives. Through the LSEG Foundation, we work with charity and Non-Governmental Organisation partners to deliver a range of programmes across the world that create opportunities for those in need to participate in education, employment and enterprise).

    Role responsibilities

Partnering with the Sustainability team (part of the LSEG Corporate Affairs & Marketing function) and the Head of the LSEG Foundation to devise effective engagement activities, campaigns, programmes and tactics that inspire our people to get involved with – and be advocates for – the company's sustainability and LSEG Foundation activities and initiatives.

    • Use LSEG's internal communications channels (these include our "Connect" intranet, digital newsletters, Yammer and in person/hybrid events) to ensure there's a regular and timely flow of sustainability and LSEG Foundation-related content to employees that facilitates and drives two-way engagement (rather than just 'cascading' related communications to them).
    • Partner with the External Communications, Social Media and Marketing teams to ensure Sustainability and LSEG Foundation initiatives are effectively communicated to external stakeholders.
    • Execute communications plans and initiatives by effectively managing the creation and flow of content and messaging – collaborating with the Sustainability team, the Head of the LSEG Foundation, in house resource (Content Studio) and other business stakeholders as needed.
    • Report on progress and the success of activities by sourcing and providing engagement metrics (e.g. survey feedback; email open rates; views of related Connect intranet pages etc.)

    Sustainability-specific

    • Develop and maintain a regular flow of sustainability-related content for internal audiences, in addition to amplifying specific time-bound campaigns (e.g. LSEG's involvement at New York Climate Week and COP28).
    • Implement thought leadership campaigns and learning materials (blogs, videos, interviews, webinars etc) to build awareness of Sustainability-related activities and programs across LSEG.
    • Partner with a range of stakeholders across LSEG who actively support the delivery of our Sustainability goals, ensuring their activities and initiatives are effectively communicated and incorporated within wider comms plans (examples of sustainability stakeholders include the Property, Facilities, Travel, Procurement and Investor Relations teams; also volunteer leaders).

    LSEG Foundation-specific

    • Be the single point of contact for all LSEG Foundation global communications activities, partnering with the Head of the LSEG Foundation.
    • Responsible for the LSEG Foundation Connect (intranet) site and keeping the content updated and engaging. This includes writing updates regarding LSEG's strategic and regional charity partnerships, updating information about global volunteering opportunities and sourcing and editing employee-led volunteering content. You will also identify opportunities to communicate these in other appropriate LSEG employee communications channels.

    Preferred experience and capabilities

    • Broad experience of corporate affairs, communications and marketing with a minimum of four years' internal communications experience within an in-house internal comms role with a focus on change and transformation comms.
    • Passion and flair for business and creative writing – and at pace.
    • Exceptional project management and organisational skills with a focus on delivery and execution across multiple channels and audiences – able to juggle many competing projects and priorities at the same time.
    • Proactive, a 'can do' attitude, with a willingness to 'roll your sleeves up' bringing new ideas and suggestions to the table.
    • Experience with MS Office Suite including Office 365 and SharePoint, Poppulo and other mass communications systems.
    • Able to influence stakeholders and build trusted relationships.
    • Experience working with and maintaining confidential and sensitive information.
    • Exposure or knowledge of the financial services industry preferred.
    • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Business or a related field preferred.
    • Knowledge of third sector and charity governance preferable.

At LSEG, we believe that creating a diverse and inclusive organisation is fundamental to the way we deliver on our promise of creating essential partnerships and open opportunities. Our open culture is central to how we deliver our purpose – driving financial stability, empowering economies and enabling customers to create sustainable growth – in everything we do.

Working with us means that you will be part of a dynamic organisation of 25,000 people across 70 countries. However, we will value your individuality and enable you to bring your true self to work so you can help enrich our diverse workforce. You will be part of a collaborative and creative culture where we encourage new ideas and are committed to sustainability across our global business. You will experience the critical role we have in helping to re-engineer the financial ecosystem to support and drive sustainable economic growth. Together, we are aiming to achieve this growth by accelerating the just transition to net zero, enabling growth of the green economy and creating inclusive economic opportunity.

LSEG offers a range of tailored benefits and support, including healthcare, retirement planning, paid volunteering days and wellbeing initiatives.
