- Support monthly financial reporting for the esure group, including data checks, movement analysis, and journal entries.
- Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations in Blackline for esure trading companies.
- Maintain accurate accounting records to support reported results, collaborating with other finance team members as needed.
- Aid in Solvency II reporting, including quarterly and annual QRT returns, SFCR, and RSR pre-submission checks.
- Stay updated on technical accounting developments, applying new knowledge to support the wider team.
- Contribute to ad-hoc projects and tasks advised
- An individual studying towards or newly qualified in a professional accounting qualification ( CIMA, ACCA)
- A high standard of both written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate digital literacy, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Good problem solving abilities
- Drive for results and curiosity
- Knowledge of general insurance accounting
- Sophisticated digital literacy desirable
- Experience with Oracle Financial systems
- Experience with manipulating data through Tableau, Databricks
- Experience of insurance and non-insurance accounting at entity and consolidated group level
