    Responsibilities

    As a crucial member of our Integrations team, the Software Developer role involves spearheading the development and maintenance of our 3rd party API integrations using C#. You will work alongside a team comprising 4 Developers, 3 QA Engineers, and a Development Lead. Your key tasks will include:

    • Engaging in back-end software development to continually enhance and elevate our Mercury 3rd party integrations and API offerings.
    • Collaborating with Developers, QA Analysts, and Product Owners within an Agile development setup to deliver high-quality software increments.
    • Performing code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and quality.
    • Collaborating with the Product team to refine and comprehend requirements, and establish acceptance criteria in coordination with the development team.
    • Contributing to fostering an innovative culture within the organization.

    Requirements

    • A minimum of 2 years of commercial experience leveraging C# for web APIs development, with a robust grasp of software design patterns and SOLID Principles.
    • Practicing clean coding methodologies to produce easily understandable and sustainable code, with a focus on quality and standards.
    • Demonstrating strong analytical capabilities to translate use cases, user stories, and specifications into functional applications.
    • Experience working in Agile environments and with lifecycle management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
    • Familiarity with Unit testing (e.g., MSTest, NUnit), proficiency in source control (preferably Git), and exposure to Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment pipelines.
    • Experience with cloud technologies, particularly Azure, though not a mandatory requirement.

    Location

    Mercury values the impact of in-person collaboration, hence we encourage team members to be present at our Coleshill office for 2 days weekly. However, we promote flexibility and support remote work for the remaining days if that suits your preference.
