    Salary:

    Competitive £1,100.00 to £3,250.00 monthly, payment dependent per project basis

    Working Location: Nationwide, Home-based

    Employment Type: Contractor (Consulting on a behalf of NHBC)

    * Due to the nature of this role, the post holder will be required to complete some additional background checks (Enhanced DBS) before an offer is made.

    We are looking for consultant NVQ Assessor's, with experience in Residential House Building.

    What you'll be doing

    We are looking to engage, on a sub-contract basis, fully Accredited NVQ Assessors, who have current demonstrable experience delivering & assessing construction NVQ's. Typically, level 4 Diploma in Construction Site Supervision & Level 6 Diploma in Construction Site Management, both residential route. Facilitated through attending site & remote assessment practices.

    The ideal candidate will have

    The role would suit a freelance assessor who wishes to widen their portfolio of learners. Whether you're looking for a few candidates, or more, we are flexible in our approach in working around any of your existing commitments.

    This is a homebased role where you have the ability to operate Nationally.

    Requirements:

  • Verifiable evidence that you have worked in the workplace at or above the level of the Award assessing.
  • It is essential a qualification in a construction discipline to minimum level 6.
  • A professional membership of CIOB/CABE/RICS would be desirable.
  • Have a minimum assessor award such as D32/33 or equivalent.
  • Possess a decent broadband line to conduct remote & site assessments.
  • Have verifiable housebuilding experience, ideally as a site manager, inspector etc.
  • Proven experience of working with E- portfolios, City and Guilds learning assistant.
  • Keen to work within a large team of assessors.
  • Possess current & relevant CPD associated with the role.
  • Able to attend two standardisation events per year.
  • Have a full driving licence.
  • Education and Qualifications

    Requirements:

  • D32/33, or A1, or TAQA equivalent – Essential.
  • Construction related NVQ level 6 – Essential.
  • Construction related NVQ level 7 – Desirable.
  • Professional Membership (CIOB/CABE/RICS) – Desirable.
  • PTLSS, or equivalent – Desirable.
  • Full Driving Licence, ability to work Nationally, that may involve 2/4 overnight stay away from home.
  • A strong level of communication skills, both verbal and written English.
  • Strong eye for detail and organisation skills.
  • Work under limited supervision, confident in presenting to people and nurturing.
  • Excellent I.T. skills and familiar with Microsoft applications.

    Payment

    Payment is invoiced monthly in line with your learners' progress. We pay industry leading rates to ensure we only attract the type of Professional expected by our clients and those willing to work to our higher standards.
