    Description

    Job Title: Youth Support Workers
    Location: Districts across Hertfordshire; Broxbourne, East Herts, Welwyn Hatfield, Watford, Dacorum, Three Rivers, Hertsmere and North Herts (please state your preference at application).
    Salary: £12.88 per hour
    Hours: Opportunities for 5, 7.5 or 10 hours per week term-time; in the evenings.
    Contract: Permanent

    You will be part of one of the 10 Services for Young People district teams and will have the chance to significantly impact the futures of young individuals.

    Working with local young people aged 11 to 17 in groups of 12-25, many of whom encounter difficulties in their home life, education, or local community, you will aid in delivering tailored prevention and early interventions, informal educational opportunities, and the enhancement of their skills.

    Guided by qualified and experienced personnel, you will play a crucial role in our team by supporting the implementation of a diverse array of curriculum programs, which include independent living skills and emotional well-being, as well as aiding young individuals in steering clear of criminal activities, antisocial behavior, and providing advice on relationships and sexual health.

    Each session lasts for 2.5 hours and typically occurs evenings Monday – Saturday during term time, depending on the weekly hours you can dedicate, the schedule might be as follows:

  • 5 hours = 2 sessions a week
  • 7.5 hours = 3 sessions a week
  • 10 hours = 4 sessions a week

    • We are searching for individuals from diverse backgrounds who have prior experience working with Children and/or Young People in a voluntary or paid role.

    Moreover, we are interested in individuals who possess expertise in areas such as sports, outdoor learning, art & crafts, media, music, health as a means to establish connections and engage with our young audience.
