    Description

    Role Overview

    At Ikaros Solar, a well-established, yet further growing player in the international field of renewable energies, focused on large-scale solar projects, we are offering the opportunity to join our team as Project Manager. You will be located in United Kingdom (UK) . You'll oversee the permitting process of large-scale solar projects from inception through to readiness for construction. If you have a strong background in project management within the renewable energy sector, with a specific focus on navigating the complex permitting requirements associated with solar development projects, you have the profile we are looking for.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Permitting Process Management: Lead and manage the permitting process for large-scale solar projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements at the local, regional, and national levels.
    • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain positive relationships with regulatory agencies, landowners, community stakeholders, and other relevant parties involved in the permitting process.
    • Project Planning and Coordination: Develop comprehensive project plans and timelines, coordinate project activities, and track progress towards key milestones.
    • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges associated with the permitting process and develop strategies to mitigate risks and ensure project success.
    • Documentation and Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely completion of permit applications, environmental assessments, and other required documentation to secure necessary approvals for project development.
    • Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to project team members, consultants, and external partners involved in the permitting process.
    • Budget and Resource Management: Monitor project budgets, allocate resources effectively, and optimize project efficiency to achieve cost-effective project outcomes.
    • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization to streamline the permitting process and enhance project delivery effectiveness.

    Profile Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably within the renewable energy industry
    • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects through the permitting process to achieve project milestones and objectives.
    • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and permitting processes related to solar energy projects.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
    • Proficiency in project management tools and software applications.
    • Commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.
