    We're looking for a highly motivated Legal Counsel to join our team If you are a dynamic legal professional looking to make a significant impact in the Fintech & Payment industry, we invite you to join Financial House Limited.

    Responsibilities

    As the Legal Counsel at Financial House, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring legal compliance, risk management, and supporting the strategic growth of the company. Your responsibilities will include:

    • Work closely with Board members and provide timely and strategic legal advice to them on various legal matters impacting the business.
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure legal considerations are integrated into business strategies and initiatives.
    • Leading and managing the legal team, including overseeing their duties and responsibilities.
    • Oversee and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, especially those outlined by the FCA, in the operation of our electronic money services and related programs.
    • Review, and negotiate various legal agreements, including but not limited to contracts with agents, clients, and partners.
    • Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with our operations, keeping abreast of changes in legislation and industry best practices.
    • Review internal policies and procedures to ensure the company operates within legal and ethical guidelines.
    • Provide support and coordination in terms of licensing to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
    • Provide support and guidance on legal matters concerning card-issuing and acquiring.
    • Handle legal disputes and collaborate with external legal counsel when necessary.

    Requirements

    • Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 10 years of post-qualification experience.
    • Proven experience in the financial services industry, preferably in payment & electronic money or fintech.
    • In-depth knowledge of FCA regulations related to electronic money institutions.
    • Hands-on experience in obtaining Payment license and navigating Payment license processes.
    • Experience in card-issuing and acquiring to navigate legal matters related to these areas.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
