- Preparing all financial reporting, both internal reporting (e.g. management accounts, KPI reporting) and external reporting (e.g. financial statements, investor reporting).
- Managing Phlo's day-to-day finances, payment runs, VAT returns, payroll and pensions.
- Identifying and implementing improvements to financial controls and processes to ensure the finance team can scale with the business.
- Leading the budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Leading the annual audit process.
- Line managing members of the finance team.
- Building strong relationships across the organisation and collaborating with other departments to help meet the financial objectives of the wider business.
- Supporting the Finance Director with ad-hoc projects, fundraising and acquisitions.
- Deputising for the Finance Director in internal and external meetings.
- Qualified accountant (CA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Experience in a similar role of building a finance team in a growing organisation
- Exposure to a start-up/scale up/e-commerce environment is advantageous
- Comfortable multi-tasking and working at pace in a demanding environment
- Commercial mindset - identifying opportunities for cost savings and improved cashflow management
- Forward-looking - you'll keep an eye on what's coming down the line
- Meticulous attention to detail - you'll be responsible for ensuring all output from the finance team is accurate and tailored to the intended audience
- Strong communicator - have the ability to communicate effectively with a non-finance audience and be comfortable communicating with/presenting to a senior audience
- Exposure to Xero accounting software is advantageous
- Salary between £70,000 - £80,000, depending on experience

We're looking for a full-time Financial Controller to join our Glasgow office on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Finance Director, the Financial Controller will primarily be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operation of the business. We currently operate on a hybrid model, working from the office 2-3 days per week. Our Glasgow office is based in the Clockwise Tower on Renfrew Street. Phlo is an online pharmacy aiming to empower patients by giving them full control of their healthcare. Using our app, patients can manage, order and track their prescriptions and benefit from same-day, real-time deliveries.
