    Description

    My client is looking for a Senior Buyer for immediate start, the vacancy will go permanent for the right candidate.

    To primarily be responsible for the buying for sites of varying complexity ensuring, Site Foremen queries and requisitions are processed promptly and efficiently
    Producing material cost analysis to ensure competitive prices and budgets are maintained to add to the profitability for the region
    Ensuring orders are raised in accordance with Procurement Procedures so that the business maintains consistency and quality
    Liaison with other departments on time to ensure sites run efficiently (Accounts)
    Ensure that the buying team are allocated tasks, where quality of work will need to be verified to maintain it is completed to a good standard within company guidelines
    Given proven experience the role will involve mentoring and training junior members of the team and developing their skills to a sufficient level where they can take on more responsibility and add value to the team, thus improving productivity within the region
    On occasion provide assistance to the Commercial Director/Operations Director when making key business decisions and attend regular regional meetings as the relevant subject expert
    Must be adaptable, have a strong and consistent management style with the site teams and supply chain
    Must be proficient in Excel
    Full Driving licence is essential
    Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm with 1 hour lunch
    Rate of pay £21 – £23 per hour dependant on experience
