Description
Our client, based in Central London, is currently recruiting for a Procurement Buyer on a Permanentcontract. Our client operates within the Higher Education Sector and deals with higher value tenders.

The position is due to start immediately on a full time basis. The salary is £31, ,217 inclusive of London Weighting
,dependent upon experience


Duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Supporting end users on their procurement requirements, ensuring products/services are delivered on time to the required specification
  • Managing the purchase and supply of procured goods and services, engaging with internal and external stakeholders across the organisation
  • Understanding the target market of clients as well as analysing trends to make informed buying decisions towards an effective purchasing process
  • Negotiating contracts with suppliers throughout the procure to pay cycle, managing supplier relationships through evaluating and negotiating tenders
  • Ensuring the effective administration throughout the organisations purchasing processes, ensuring procurement regulations and standards are met

Experience and Knowledge required:


  • Proven experience working in a procurement environment
  • Knowledge in sourcing and negotiating tenders
  • Experience in dealing with vendors and ensuring effective supplier management

Working hours:


  • 35 hours per week
