    Description
    Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities

    Strategic Focus:

    Deal effectively with a broad range of legal matters including corporate, commercial, regulatory, financial services and litigious mattersProviding legal support to new business initiatives.

    For example, negotiating and advising on strategic initiatives and transactions, international expansion, regulatory and governance mattersManaging internal processes and ensuring proper stakeholder engagement and good governance throughout contract lifecycleIdentify opportunities to further enhance the efficient operation of the Legal TeamOperational Management:
    Drafting, advising and assisting the business negotiate commercial contracts and providing competent legal advice on a broad range of matters, including in the following areas:General commercial and corporate lawOutsourcingFinancial services regulatory requirementsInformation technologyData protection and privacy lawIntellectual property

    People Leadership:

    Manage, drive and own stakeholder relationships with a view to achieving stakeholder satisfaction and enhancing the standing of the Legal TeamContribute to the development of the Legal Team by participating in team meetings, business forums/committees (as required) and sharing information and know howGovernance & Risk:Advising and helping to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements applicable to internal and external clientsSupport the business in identifying and managing incidents, exceptions and breaches of regulatory or contractual obligationsMaintain up to date knowledge of superannuation legislation and trendsAll staff are required to comply with the principles of Equal Employment Opportunity, Work Health and Safety and Anti-Discrimination legislation.

    All staff must adhere to the Link Group Code of Conduct and Ethics and contribute to the management of risk and the discharge of Link Group's compliance obligations.
