    An EKG may help find the cause of unexplained chest pain or other symptoms of heart disease which assist providers with patient assessments.

    The EKG Technician provides centralized EKG services for patients in accordance with established policies and procedures.

    Responds to support staff to perform EKG procedures and related tasks including EKG network oversight, timely follow through of EKG performance, interpretation and reporting back to appropriate caregivers, providers, and facilities.

    Performs and produces accurate and interpretable EKG per the organization's policies, procedures and established guidelines.
    Charles Health System's EKG database network and provides clinical oversight and troubleshooting for the system and the region.
    Conducts timely office procedures (charges, charge audits, editing, filing, data collection, ordering, other) as required by St. Schedules and performs outpatient EKGs, device checks, and ambulatory monitoring appointments (when working in outpatient setting).
    Assists with device database entries and oversight.

    Complies with all applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures, supporting the organization's corporate integrity efforts by acting in an ethical and appropriate manner, reporting known or suspected violation of applicable rules, and cooperating fully with all organizational investigations and proceedings.

    Additional training or education in related coursework.
    EKG training and work experience.
    Experience with data base and/or EKG network systems.
    Rarely (10%): Wet/slippery area, chemical solution.
