    Description

    Skillsearch is helping a gaming company hire a full-time Technical Director Animation in Oxford, and the role comes with a great salary and benefits package.

    As a flexible Technical Director Animation, you will play a key role in defining and delivering technology strategy with a focus on creativity to push the boundaries to deliver world-class animation systems.

    To give you an idea of how this flexible role would look and feel, here are some of the things you could expect to do:
    Take a lead role in planning and prioritising work on current and future animation systems in the company's internal engine, setting roadmaps for the team to develop features
    Lead a team of talented Animation Programmers using best practice people management techniques, maintaining morale, and creating an atmosphere of creativity and enthusiasm
    Proactively monitor, find, and address all types of performance issues using IDE performance tools
    To apply for this role, you will need an advanced understanding of C++ and software engineering principles. A solid coding background, ideally with detailed knowledge of internal workings of animation systems
