    Your responsibilities include overseeing the design, architecture, and maintenance of our platform, setting API and event design standards, managing the developer portal, and ensuring compliance across Technology teams for building and deploying APIs.

    Lead and mentor API and event-driven architecture development across diverse teams of software engineering professionals

    Implement and uphold standard practices, design patterns, and strategies across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) of API development programs, including CI/CD and the role of Contract testing (Stoplight Spectral linting to check conformity to OpenAPI standards).

    Deep understanding of event-driven architecture, messaging patterns, testing strategies and technology stacks.
    Delivering operational delivery automation and continuous improvement in conjunction with DevOps suppliers and IT Operations.
    Delivering operational monitoring of components through integrated solutions
    Working in other technologies used at EBRD beyond your core disciplines as required by strategic and project demands.
    Mentor and develop other developers in your team whether staff, contract or externally supplied.

    A diligent and conscientious approach to completing work on time and to an agreed, acceptable level of quality is required.

    Specific responsibility to set up and oversee a community of practice to cover the Front End (UI) application development capabilities across the EBRD Monarch Eco-System.

    Represent EBRD IT in stakeholder engagement or show case events to promote the benefits of having a Community of Practice and demonstrating these through examples of good practice.

    Proven experience in leading software engineering teams, preferably in API and EDA development and management.
    Strong technical background in API and EDA architecture, cloud technologies (Azure preferred), messaging technologies, and digital transformation.
    Experience in Financial services preferred but not essential.

    The Lead should be able to write clean, efficient, and well-tested API deployment standards.
    Proven abilities to evangelize development standards and shape communities of practice.

    The Lead should be able to collaborate effectively with other team members, such as front-end developers, back-end developers, and designers.

    Azure DevOps & Azure Applications Insights (incl. Testing frameworks - Selenium, SwaggerHub, Stoplight Spectral linting,
    TIBCO EMS, Azure Message Bus, Kafka and similar.
    Experience of software development in a financially regulated business Banking or Insurance

    Experience with DevOps:
    Experience with DevOps practices can help the Lead to ensure that applications are deployed and maintained efficiently.

    Experience with cloud computing can help the Lead to choose the right platform for team's needs and to deploy and manage applications effectively in the cloud.

    Working on Agile software delivery teams, following an iterative approach to deliver working software.
    Helping the team to always strive to succeed and continuously improve.
    Managing time effectively to deliver working software, of acceptable quality, at a regular cadence.
