    An opportunity has arisen for Engineer – Cell Technology to join our Battery Systems team in a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment. Purpose of the role is to support the battery development across all electrification programmes at Fortescue WAE in a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment.

    Job role:

    • Representing Fortescue WAE internally as battery cell technical experts
    • Evaluating battery cell technology and products
    • Defining battery cell test plans and procedures to validate cell performance and safety.
    • Analysing battery cells through data analysis and physical analysis.
    • Tracking state-of-the-art cells and the broader cell market.
    • Engaging with cell suppliers as cell technical experts.
    • Representing Fortescue WAE externally as a battery cell technical expert for ongoing project delivery, business development, and academic partnerships.

    You'll have:

    • A qualification in a STEM course or relevant equivalent experience.
    • Experience in data analysis in MATLAB.
    • Knowledge of battery cell technologies.
    • Familiarity in battery cell testing.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

    This role will include working at the head office in Grove until an office move to Kidlington in spring 2024.
