    Product Data Management (PDM)

    We are currently looking to recruit a PDM Technical Consultant to support continued growth within our Data Management department.

    If successful you will be working within a team of PDM Specialists based out of our head office where you will be providing pre and post-sales consultancy services to support successful SOLIDWORKS PDM / Manage implementations, training and technical support within our Customer base.

    Initially a Post-Sales role you may also get involved in pre-sales discovery sessions, software demonstrations and ultimately specifying the solutions that you will deliver and support.

    ~+ 5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

    You will provide our customers the highest quality technical support on queries relating to SOLIDWORKS PDM and its associated infrastructure, troubleshooting to find the optimal solution via the telephone, email or "one to one" using collaborative Internet support services.

    You will be working with our customers to define and deliver SOLIDWORKS PDM based solutions on time and within budget, whilst ensuring the maximum levels of Customer satisfaction.

    You will actively contribute to the creation and delivery of on-line content such as Blogs, Technical Documents and Webcasts.

    You may also be asked to deliver classroom, and occasionally, on premise, training to customers on the use and administration of SOLIDWORKS PDM products.

    You will possess a higher-level qualification, or be able to demonstrate suitable previous experience, in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or another relevant technical field.

    You will have experience using or administrating a Product Data Management (PDM) or Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system preferably alongside Mechanical CAD data.

    You will have knowledge and previous experience working with Microsoft Windows Desktop and Server Operating Systems. Additional experience or qualifications using Microsoft SQL Server and/or Windows Networking services would be of additional benefit.

    Although not a pre-requisite, previous experience of developing software using tools such as Visual Basic, .Net, C++ or C# would be a major advantage.

    Experience using SOLIDWORKS PDM and SOLIDWORKS although advantageous, is not essential, as training will be provided.

    typing/use of keyboard and phone; ability to travel to customer sites locally and occasional longer distance trips with overnight stay required (whence a valid Driver's license would be a major asset).
