    We have a new vacancy arisen in our ever expanding Automotive department for an experienced Automotive Lecturer.

    The purpose of this role is to deliver outstanding Engineering provision to a wide range of full-time learners and apprentices, through an exceptional student experience leading to positive achievement outcomes.

    Deliver and teach engineering subjects to Level 1, 2 and 3 full time students and apprentices to agreed success targets.

    Deliver and teach engineering subjects to Level 4 and 5 part time students, as required, to agreed success targets.

    Maintain quality systems related to the teaching of engineering including designing work schemes, lesson plans, assessment plans and assessment activities.

    Update and maintain electronic documentation to support teaching and learning, assessment and tracking of learner progress.
    Attend curriculum meetings and contribute to the continual quality improvement mechanisms (e.g. maintenance of course files, timely updating of ILPs on ProMonitor).
    Develop quality resources (including e-resources) which support the development of engineering skills.
    Actively develop and use new technology in teaching, learning and assessment.
    Skills, knowledge and expertise Qualifications and training
    Teaching qualification, e.g. Cert Ed, PGCE or DTLLs, or a firm commitment to achieve a Diploma in Education and Training (DET)
    Relevant Vocational Qualification at Level 3 (Motor Vehicle) (e.g. NVQ Level 3/Level 3 Work-based Diploma)
    Strong occupational history and competence within the Automotive sector with extensive and in-depth knowledge
    Ability to deliver high quality teaching in a variety of Automotive subject areas.
    Level 2 qualification (GCSE A* – C, or equivalent) in maths and English or a willingness to attain these qualifications with the support of the College
