    Description

    EnviroCentre Limited has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Ecological Clerk of Work to join a highly motivated team to assist in the delivery of onsite environmental and ecological auditing and an advisory role mainly on renewable energy and road infrastructure projects across Scotland.

    The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues, and industry partners in other technical disciplines, to assist in the delivery of project work.

    Additionally, there will be opportunities to work independently on certain tasks and technical aspects, as well as develop professional and specialist skills supported by EnviroCentre's mentoring system.

    Field work logistics and review of baseline data;
    Delivery of toolbox talks and onsite guidance to contractors;
    Work in conjunction with project stakeholders to achieve project aims whilst encouraging a high level of environmental protection;
    The use of Microsoft Word and Excel, digital photography and infield technology (tablet/pda) to produce electronic outputs;
    Operate in a variety of environments such as remote areas or operational construction sites;

    The delivery of the ECoW role for long and short term projects which may require working long hours, away from home between Monday-Friday; Supporting office management and administrative tasks.

    Under/postgraduate degree in Ecology, Environmental Management or a related discipline;
    a range of British habitats, bats, badger, otter, water vole etc.);
    An understanding of current environmental legislation, policy trends and ecological guidance;
    A current CSCS card or equivalent;
    Being confident and comfortable working as part of a team or on your own in the outdoor environment;
    Having to work away from home and outside office hours as necessary;
