DepartmentEstates and Campus Services supports the study and work of all students and staff through the provision of outstanding services that are customer focussed and professionally and sustainably delivered.
We are responsible for maintaining and developing the campuses buildings and grounds and the provision of customer led services such as campus security, student accommodation, catering, conferencing, nursery provision and sport.
Estates and Campus Services, a section of over 700 staff, is organised into twelve main operational areas and a number of central support functions.
You will work closely with all the members of the Building Team and a number of external contractors and preferred suppliers to ensure day to day repairs are undertaken in a timely fashion with minimum disruption to departments.
Skills and qualifications requiredThe University is seeking an individual with relevant post-training experience as a craftsperson in joinery or carpentry and an NVQ in Wood Occupations at Level 2 (Carpentry & Joinery) or equivalent. You will also need to be an excellent communicator, team player and have an awareness of relevant health and safety regulations.
