ROLE - Early Careers ManagerDEPARTMENT -Business support
NSG Environmental Ltd has been delivering work programmes in the nuclear industry for over 40 years.
Traditionally in the areas of decommissioning and waste management, NSG now has a broad customer base and provides a wide spectrum of services across the nuclear project lifecycle, ranging from expert consultancy support, R&D and engineering design to rekit and refurbishment, site installation services and high-hazard physical decommissioning works, amongst others.
This work is delivered at NSG's own offices and purpose-built facilities and nuclear sites across the UK.The delivery and management of these projects and programmes of work is carried out by a skilled workforce composed of both white-collar and blue-collar personnel in technical, administrative, and physical roles.

To aid in the facilitation and development of the business 'early careers learners' across the range of departments and sectors; Act as first point of contact both internally and externally for early careers roles such as Apprentices and Graduates.
Conduct detailed timely reviews with learners and training providers monitoring all aspects of the training plan as agreed on the Individual Learning Plans, including off the job training and progress towards qualifications.
Ensure that appropriate tracking and management systems are regularly updated and that data held for early career learners remains current.
Enrol early careers learners onto their programmes and ensure that programmed activities support qualification requirements.Support the management of the DAS.
CSCS Cards, and relevant supporting equipment qualification.
Act as the point of contact for scheduling and monitoring across apprenticeship programmes through building positive and productive relationships with all stakeholders (internal and external).
Be conversant with all aspects of each early careers program and the requirements for successful completion.Using coaching methods to signpost early careers learners to the appropriate support available to them.
Provide outstanding pastoral care to support early careers staff during the period of their programme and facilitate guidance and support as required.
Ensure any changes in circumstances that could have an impact on the early careers learners' progress are logged and actioned appropriately.
Co-ordinate early careers staff and respond to queries from NSG stakeholders concerning the early careers development programmes.Evaluate data on early careers learners' performance to assist in achieving overall and timely success. Organise and or attend meetings to ensure progress consistency, quality and support is maintained fully.
Develop and maintain a database of mentors across the early careers programmes.
Coordinate feedback regarding quality and satisfaction from early careers staff and Workplace Mentors into a report for review by management as required.
Understand personal responsibility to adhere to all relevant NSG policies and procedures.Undertake professional development and training to contribute to individual and professional development as agreed through the NSG Appraisal Scheme process.
IOSH Managing Safely or Level 2 Health & Safety in the Workplace or equivalentRelevant Training will be provided if required
Knowledge of apprenticeship programme structure and analysis of NVQ requirements to identify appropriate training pathways.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of internal and external partners, senior managers, and subject matter experts
Demonstrable use to a high standard of Windows based packages such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc and to learn specific software such Access LMS.
