ThePractice Nurse we are looking for will become a central part of the largeclinical team providing a range of health care for patients from long termcondition health checks, wound care and vaccinations.
Asa training practice we areresponsive to the development needs of ouremployees and the changing NHS.
Main duties of the job
PracticeNurses in the practice are an essential part of the clinical team supportingthe GP and nursing team while providing high quality patient care within theirown responsibilities.
Asa Practice Nurse within the practice you will develop the skills in thefollowing areas:
Long term condition management
Wound Care
Testing (ECGs/Spirometry/Blood samples etc)
Vaccinations and injections
Cervical Screening

Job descriptionJob responsibilities
The post holder is responsible for the delivery of general practicenursing to the whole practice population. The focus of the role is both thedelivery of evidence-based practice for patients presenting with a long termcondition, and the provision of preventative health care to the practicepopulation. As an autonomous practitioner the nurse is responsible for the caredelivered, demonstrating critical thinking and skills in clinicaldecision-making in the management of patients. They will work collaborativelywithin the general practice team to meet the needs of patients, support thedelivery of policy and procedures.
