    The E-commerce's Governance and Experience (GNE) team is a global team responsible for ensuring our TikTok Shop marketplace is safe and trustworthy for users, sellers and creators.

    We value user satisfaction and work on policies, rules and systems to ensure quality on our Marketplaces.

    As the GnE EMEA leader for e-commerce compliance, you will be partnering closely with our Legal, Risk Management, Public Policy and Government Relations teams to help build a comprehensive and proactive E-commerce regulatory compliance and external engagement strategy.

    You will be GNE's single point of contact to proactively review upcoming regulations, engage externally with trade associations, brands, and regulators to build trust and support a positive external narrative for TikTok Shop.

    Your core tasks will be to develop relationships with key leaders within such organisations, devising, and leading the implementation of e-commerce compliance solutions, risk mitigation mechanisms, complex processes and continuous improvement of such compliance structures.


    Risk Management:

    • Partner with the Legal and Compliance teams and other internal crossfunctional teams to identify and assess regulatory risks and opportunities.
    • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
    • Work closely with Legal and compliance teams to address regulatory issues and challenges.

    Regulatory Compliance:

    • Partner with internal cross functional teams to drive consistency in our external processes and narrative across TikTok and TikTok Shop, enhancing trust in our brand and marketplace.
    • Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and assess their impact on our marketplace business.
    • Partner with the Legal team to implement strategies to comply and monitor compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

    Regulatory Engagement:

    • Partner with internal cross functional teams to cultivate and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies, government agencies, and other relevant stakeholders.
    • Represent the company in regulatory discussions, hearings, and industry forums.
    • Advocate for the company's interests, and partner with internal cross functional teams to communicate regulatory developments to internal stakeholders.

    Policy Development:

    • Research and analyze regulatory trends, policy issues, and industry developments.
    • Contribute to the development of company policies and positions on regulatory and industry matters.
    • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to integrate regulatory considerations into business strategies.
    Bachelor's degree, advanced degree preferred.

    • Extensive experience in compliance and regulatory engagement, ideally within ecommerce
    • Indepth knowledge of EMEA Ecommerce regulations, standards, and regulators.
    • Proven track record of successfully implementing compliance controls in a complex business environment
