Education Engagement Officer

Team: Vulnerable Learners & Access to Education

Salary: £16,186 to £17,345 per annum

Part-time: 28 hours – Term-time only

Location: County Hall, Worcester

Permanent Contract

The Role

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated professional, with significant experience of the challenges faced by children and young people, to work collaboratively with families and Schools to ensure that all young people are able to access education, leading to improved overall outcomes.

The Education Engagement Officer (EHE) will play a crucial role within the Education Access Team , working to support educational outcomes for our EHE children and young people. Working closely with Schools, families and partner agencies you will work to identify barriers to learning and support families to overcome these.

The postholder will be required to work collaboratively with external agencies to promote effective practice and show a commitment to Safeguarding and welfare of all children and young people as a priority.

This post will offer support and guidance to families and Schools and will be central to the Local Authority fulfilling their statutory duties; ensuring that all children are receiving the education to which they are entitled.
