What you'll be doing:
Leading and developing the Radar Mechanical Engineering team across an exciting product portfolio and the full engineering life cycleResponsible for the Learning & Development of the Mechanical Engineers reporting into you and working with the other Mechanical Engineering Managers / Mechanical Engineering Discipline Lead in actioning career moves according to development plansPlans and supervises the work of a team of engineers to accomplish specific engineering projects, directing work assignments, scheduling, and reviews of work in progressReviews technical feasibility of proposed solutions to engineering problemsProvides technical leadership in the resolution of complex technical problemsImplementing design changes, in accordance with standards, regulations alongside compliance with company standards, processes, and guidelinesLeading and reviewing Mechanical Engineering input and estimates into bidsUtilising a wide Engineering toolset and propose new tools, training, processes that would benefit the discipline and teamYour skills and experiences:

The Mechanical Engineering Radar team:
As you engage with engineering functions across the business, as our team covers the whole engineering lifecycle using the latest cutting-edge technology, becoming a member of the Mechanical Engineering Radar team will provide you with significant exposure inside the larger BAE Systems organisation.
Leading the Mechanical Engineering Team in the Radar sector of the Products area, both technically and organisationally, is where you can truly make an impact in this position.
Being a subject matter expert in at least one area of Mechanical Engineering disciplines, you'll be responsible for working with the discipline lead for managing resourcing of engineers, line leadership, career development and training.
