    Description

    At DaVita UK, we provide dialysis care for over 2,000 patients across 27 clinics in the UK. We're part of DaVita International who are focused on transforming care and improve quality of life for people receiving dialysis treatment globally.

    We're looking for a competent Finance Director to join us at our Head Office based in Colliers Wood. As the Financial Director, you will be reporting to the Managing Director for UK with a dotted line to the International Chief Financial Officer.

    Strong FP&A experience and modelling and oversee an established team.

    Being the Finance Director in DaVita UK will be a varied role. You can expect to carry out below responsibilities but not limited to:

    • provide strategic and proactive advice to Senior leadership team in all matters related to finance.
    • the performance of the business and improves the existing models to do so
    • the financial models needed to participate in the competitive tenders of the NHS
    • procurement after a sufficiently long handover period
    • management
    • legal director of the company with all legal responsibilities that come with it
    • ensure strong financial and regulatory controls are in place through the development and implementation of related policies, training and internal.
    • develop and have overall responsibility for the operational delivery of the financial planning both short and longer term for Davita UK
    • develop and have overall responsibility for the operational delivery of the short and long term financial plans, including but not limited to production of statutory accounts and financial returns, bank and cash management , production of high quality and timely management information, tax and VAT advice and returns.
    • ensure regulatory compliance on procurement, tendering and contractual matters, seeking value for money and procurement solutions to support Davita UKinfrastructure and operations.
    • provide high quality management information including monthly management accounts.
    • meet all strategic KPIs associated with the Finance areas of responsibility.
    • manage the finance and registry teams developing team members, providing training and succession planning opportunities and carrying out performance reviews.

    To be successful in this role, we're looking for someone with:

    • experience as Finance Director is preferred
    • excel modelling skills and willingness to learn how to use Anaplan and PowerBi as there will be no analyst to do this work until the business reaches a bigger scale
    • least 3 years post-graduation from a bachelor degree
    • knowledge of accounting (no need to be a CPA although it is an advantage). Ability to understand balance sheet, cash flow and P & L.
    • DCF, IRR, NPV
    • work independently and is flexible not to be restricted to the job description (a bit like in a start-up environment) because it is a flat structure and one needs to cover other teammates when they are on PTO.
    • is not a 9 to 5 job and we need at least 3 days at the office for this role because the accounting team is 5 days at the office.
    • confident and yet humble communicator
