    Class Teacher

    About the School

    High Meadow Community School in Coleshill is a happy, exciting, forward-thinking school committed to excellence. We use research to inform practice, as well as our creativity to deliver an exciting and engaging curriculum.

    We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic key stage one or Key stage two teacher, who loves working with children and who loves their job, to join our amazing, family team and who wants to inspire the next generation.


    High Meadow is a Community School, in name and in spirit; it has a very special quality and is quite unique.

    Key Requirements


    • A desire to deliver high quality lessons, which inspire, enthuse and motivate children.
    • High expectations for all pupils and be committed to supporting children's attainment and progress, regardless of background or circumstances
    • Solution focused and unafraid to take risks in their lesson planning
    • Recognition of the importance of continual professional development and educational reading
    • Recognises the importance of developing a love of reading in the classroom
    • Is familiar with the Mastery approach of teaching mathematics (NCTEM)
    • Is committed to developing our Learning Powers with the children
    • Understands the importance of building relationships with children and the importance of the role of a teacher in child's life
    • Is willing to contribute to the life of the school and its community and have enthusiasm for all aspects of school life, including Christmas and Summer Fayres, school discos etc
    • Be willing to lead a subject
    • A good sense of humour


    The school is committed to safeguarding and promotion the welfare of children and young people and expects staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

    The school conducts safer recruitment practice and pre-employment checks will be undertaken before any appointment is confirmed.

    The post is subject to an enhanced clearance by the Disclosure and Barring (forming CRB) which will require you to disclose details of all unspent and unfiltered spent reprimands, formal warning, cautions and convictions in your application form.
