Description
Job Purpose1 The post holder will provide an effective and efficient shopping and sundry provision service to the prisoner population within strict deadlines.
They will accurately collate and process individual orders, via the bag and tag operation and deliver the orders within the prison.
This is a physically demanding role in a warehouse type vicinity and manual handling duties will be required.Responsibilities 1 Contribute to the delivery of an effective and efficient internal grocery/shopping service, in accordance with agreed timescales by accurately picking, scanning, and packing individual provision orders.
1 Contribute towards an effective stock management system (weekly/monthly physical stock checks) by recording stock reports and interrogating any discrepancies when they are identified.
1 To accurately process prisoner individual orders through the computerised till system (EPOS) ensuring compliance with SPS Policies and Audit Processes.
1 Delivery of goods, involving the driving of the Luton Van, and the loading and offloading of goods, to the prisoner accommodation areas.
1 The receiving and checking of the weekly canteen stock delivery.1 To multi-task and provide a supporting role throughout the Finance and Admin department, including the processing of the weekly prisoner wages, and other tasks, as directed by the First Line Manager, to ensure deadlines are met within the Finance and Admin Function.
