  • Mandatory requirements:

  • More than 5 years of experience in technical areas of Engineering.
  • English Level : C1.
  • Proactive and self driven attitude.

  • Desirable requirements:

  • STEM Degree.
  • Experience in IT risks.
  • IT and/or security risks certifications.
  • Consulting experience.
  • Experience in international projects.
  • Team management experience.
  • The position requires an analytical, highly autonomous person who can adapt easily to a changing environment and who can understand and translate the technical aspects of risks to our control and business areas and vice versa.

    Overview

    Responsible for the detection, mitigation and control of technological risks affecting both the London office and the rest of the offices in continental Europe. The local technology risk perimeter includes all Engineering areas (cybersecurity, architecture, infrastructure, software development and physical security).

    In permanent coordination with the CIB Engineering RCA team in Madrid, you will collaborate with the rest of the local engineering teams, in order to guarantee the control and mitigation of technological risks. In this sense, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Act as a liaison with the offices of the External Network in Europe, ensuring homogenous levels of risk, detecting best practices and following up on projects and initiatives that impact these offices.
  • Evaluate the controls derived from the control frameworks implemented locally and operated by the Engineering teams, as well as from the mitigating action plans for the risks detected.
  • Drive the completeness of the technology risk acceptance process that elaborates the control framework and defines the criticality of the risk, for all local initiatives.
  • Ensure security and technological compliance in UK and continental Europe as well as coordinating the implementation of regulatory compliance projects.
  • Support the unit's governance tasks: committees, dealing with regulators, supervisors or other incoming requests for information, as well as monitoring of safety metrics.
  • Assist in audit processes related to Engineering.
  • Contribute to the definition and strategic planning of the area by proposing models for continuous improvement.
