About the RoleWe are seeking a detail-oriented administrative professional to join us as a Claims Processing Assistant.This role will focus on assisting members of Britannia P&I, The Wren Insurance Association and The Griffin Insurance Association with the payment and processing of claims.
The Claims Processing team is a friendly team of 7 in London reporting to the Head of Claims Processing.The team oversee a variety of claims across all international offices and provides an opportunity to liaise with other departments including Underwriting, Claims, Finance and 3rd parties.
The role reports to the Head of Claims Processing.The role would suit a numerate individual who has excellent communication skills and a good understanding of business systems and processes within a regulated environment.
We have a hybrid working policy, however, the role holder may be required to work full-time in the office during the 4 first weeks of the induction period.
Your Responsibilities Process third-party invoices and recoveriesRaise debit notes to MembersReview Member claims and raise corresponding credit notesMaintain supplier contact details/add new contact details onto the relevant systemRespond to Members and Correspondents queries by telephone and emailDevelop a good understanding of processes and procedures, ensuring that we are adhering to our policies and SLAsConduct sanction checks and call-back procedures for new bank accountsAssist with ad-hoc and quarterly reportsAd hoc duties as requiredAbout You Knowledge/ExperienceA minimum of 2 years of administration, claims or data processing experience in a regulated environment is essentialExperience of working in the Insurance industry is desirableAbility to learn and work with Business SystemsFinancial literacy and ability to demonstrate aptitude for working with numbersComputer literate and familiar with all MS Office packages (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc)Qualifications/EducationGCSE Maths (Grades A-C) or equivalentCompetenciesAttention to detail – ability to review documents and ensure accuracyCommunication – excellent written and verbal communication skillsOrganised and methodical – ability to organise and produce work of a high standard under time pressureTeamwork – willing to work as part of a team and to assist colleagues as necessaryAbout UsTindall Riley manages three insurance businesses.
