    This mission-critical position will support security operations at DJJ facilities by providing overall management, planning, support, and guidance for DJJ's security systems.

    This includes but is not limited to cameras, NVRs/DVRs, electronic locks, perimeter detection, jail management system, and any other electronic security systems needed by DJJ .

    This position will ensure that all DJJ sites adhere to best practices in security systems for correctional facilities. The Bon Air Juvenile Correctional facility located in Chesterfield, VA operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This position is designated as essential and is on-call for emergencies during off hours and during inclement weather.

    Minimum Qualifications
    Extensive knowledge of perimeter security in a secure environment and public address broadcast systems. Considerable knowledge of security systems, electronic surveillance, and locking equipment/apparatus and their operating characteristics and capabilities. Considerable experience working with electronics, security operations, electronic security systems and planning, and experience working in tele-communication. Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, conduct inspections, preventative maintenance, and emergency maintenance. Ability to read and understand schematics, block diagrams, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, flow charts, truth tables and service manuals. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Valid Driver's License required on first day of employment. Preferred Qualifications
    Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Security Industry certifications, or equivalent coursework in electronics or related field is preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
