- Knowledge of current and past Microsoft windows operating systems, windows 10/7, and server operating systems and upgrades
- Experience in Windows imaging techniques (Network & Local)
- Experience with windows server virtualisation and SAN technologies
- Microsoft Active Directory & Azure Active Directory knowledge
- Experience and technical knowledge of IT, PC's / peripherals, and their architecture
- Comfortable with liaising and working alongside 3rd Parties
- Ideally have knowledge with HP/Thermo/Agilent/ any laboratory testing equipment a plus but not essential
- Travel to sites in the area and Maintain all LAB computers, infrastructure and UPS
- Perform LAB coms room and security audits, system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the company's disaster recovery and business continuity strategies
- Practice LAB and coms room asset management, including maintenance of LAB inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information
- Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems
- Monitor and test system performance; prepare and deliver system performance statistics and reports
- Document each contact with details, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made and actions taken, through to final resolution.
- Troubleshoot known and unknown hardware & software issues related to desktop, laptops, workstations, peripherals, and associated accessories.
