Description
DP World are a rapidly growing global logistics and supply chain business and as we open our brand new state of the art site in Coventry we require a Systems Maintenance Supervisor to lead on our mechanical/electrical engineering needs across the site.
You will be a hands on Senior Maintenance Engineering specialist, able to support/lead and manage the Engineers in their daily tasks.
About the role:
Leads the system maintenance engineering team (3 Maintenance Engineer)Provides expert guidance to Engineers as an escalation point to resolve queries and support with learning and understandingComplete manufacturing/production line tasks as requested or identified and record /report activities and or actions in appropriate databases or related systems.
Ensure all planned Preventative Maintenance schedules are completed within agreed timescale to a high standardSupports the presenting of technical improvements to customers through proposals, conference calls and presentations in conjunction with account management.
Act as interface between regional function and all other areas of the business as required.Ensure engineering function is aligned with operations team and other support functions.
Be able to translate high level operational briefs / objectives in to defined solution proposal and progress and deploy into the live operation.
Contribute to the development and implementation of regional and local initiatives.Complete new MTM / MOST process assessments or update existing processes as requiredEnsure clear and quantifiable data is available to show contribution to business made by individuals and function.
Act as a "trouble shooter" when required, identify pinch points or problem areas, ensure root cause analysis is completed where appropriate and corrective measures are implemented into operations.
What you will bring:
Proven experience in senior maintenance engineering roles supporting and leading staff across multiple shift patterns on automated warehouse equipment (either as a Senior or Supervisor/Team Leader)Ability to communicate effectively across all levels.
Ability to interpret data and derive solid conclusions from analysis.
Highly developed computer skills, including Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables and familiarity with common formulas), Word, Visio or equivalent, and Project Management software are required.
Proficient in using AutoCAD to design functional workings of solutions in 3D and 2D formats.
