- Databases – SQL based, Time series based Non-SQL; (MS SQL, ORACLE, MongoDB, Cassandra) Our applications request, store, and process data from this class of databases and it will be your role to perform installation first level support and interact with our development team at higher levels of complexity.
- IIS, Networking, Clouds, Kubernetes, Docker, Firewalls, Message Queues. Our applications are highly scalable and can be hosted in the cloud or on prem. Navigating your way through all these technologies will be required. Do not worry if you lack some experience here. Key is fundamental understanding and willingness to learn on the job. We will teach you.
- Pressure and rate transient analysis, reservoir management, production and simulation. We do not expect you to be a guru in these areas, but you need a reasonable level of understanding of the tasks our users face and how our tools can help them.
- A degree in IT or significant practical experience either in computer science, software engineering or information technology and information systems.
- Significant industry experience working closely with end-users implementing client server or cloud business applications.

Role Description
You will be working in a very friendly, smart, small team dedicated to the global installation, support, optimisation and development of our mass data handling platforms KAPPA-Server and KAPPA-Automate. You need to be comfortable dealing directly with our personnel and clients around the world and communicating back to the DEV team. Service attitude and the ability to think on your feet are essential.
The role requires IT and reservoir management knowledge. You will not just be installing the systems but designing unique workflows with clients to solve their production issues, often integrated with third party platforms.
The following should all mean something to you:
If you offer knowledge in programming in particular C# and Python and have Virtual Machine management, Azure Cloud, Kubernetes, Docker container experience, then so much the better.
You must have fluency in English and indefinite leave to remain and work in the UK.
This role is in Reigate UK, but, after induction training, some work from home is acceptable. Foreign travel is probable.
