- Provide support to cross functional teams by contributing to industry knowledge at various Equinix UK forums and sharing information on the Business Management Systems
- Assist in carrying out investigations as directed and advise of controls to prevent recurrence
- Analyse corrections and preventive actions to identify systemic issues/root causes and recommend broader preventive actions
- Actively assists in Maintaining all UK Operations certifications
- First point of contact for all Customer Audit Requests and liaison with Datacentre operations to complete
- Manages corrective action trackers, accident & incident reporting
- Assists in the administering of any internal or external non-conformances raised
- Reports on established KPI's as directed
- Develops and implements training plans for standards, regulatory and reporting requirements (i.e., health, safety, environmental, quality, information security and business continuity compliance) as directed
- Co-ordinates, facilitates and conducts training inclusive of toolbox talks across cross- functional teams and contractors where required
- Works with UK management to assess need for new training or re-training efforts
- Leads on responses for complex requests or sensitive issues with high risk
- Provides authoritative expertise in all certification matters
- Provide support to cross functional teams by completing risk assessments/method statements
- Leads Datacentre and cross-functional teams on compliance assigned projects balancing business need/knowledge with standards requirements
- Identifies potential risks for non-compliance and leads mitigation/response efforts
- Assists in ensuring work equipment on all sites are inspected, maintained and registers indicating their status updated
- Undertakes Workplace Inspections across UK Sites and engages with cross functional teams
- Ensures UK sites and offices practice assigned emergency procedures
- Assists in completing workstation assessments and reports in accordance with DSE regulations
- Provides support to cross functional teams for management system information
- Enforce the requirements where appropriate, for the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
- Undertakes any other reasonable task either autonomously or as part of a team which may be required periodically
- Monitor and maintain adherence to waste requirements across all Equinix UK sites
- Monitor site calibration requirements periodically
- Qualified to minimum NEBOSH National General Certificate and/or working towards Diploma Level 6 or equivalent
- A recognised internal/external auditor qualification
- Experience in operational occupational Health and Safety, competent in risk assessment and method statement development and analysis
- Experience of Information Security arrangements for multi-layered businesses
- Good working knowledge of MS office systems
- Experience working in a Compliance Advisory role
- Skilled communicator and presenter, able to liaise with internal colleagues across a number of cross functional departments and ensure that all ISO standard requirements are understood
- Able to work with external companies/customer end users and enforcement companies
- Excellent diplomacy and influencing skills, with a proven track record of raising the profile of management systems, especially H&S at all levels, both internally and externally
- Required to travel and report across all UK Equinix sites as directed
- Experience of implementing, maintaining, and working with, any management system, HSG 65 and/or other Health and Safety Management Systems, GDPR, Data Protection legislation
- Some understanding and knowledge of data centre infrastructure and operations, fire management and electrical systems
- Working with local enforcement agencies and government agencies
- Experience of creating and delivering training courses/sessions
- Knowledge of operating electronic/permit to work systems
