- Assist in the preparation of management accounts, including income statement and balance sheet.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations.
- Handle intercompany reconciliations.
- Perform analysis on sales and purchases.
- Analyze various financial data and generate reports.
- Oversee staff expenses.
- Collaborate with and prepare audit evidence for statutory audits.
- Prepare VAT returns for the UK and Ireland.
- Offer backup support for other finance team members, encompassing sales and purchase ledger functions.
- Provide primary financial assistance to the Group Financial Controller.

Grafton Banks Finance is collaborating with a thriving commercial firm located in Polegate, East Sussex, to onboard a Part Qualified Management Accountant on a full-time basis. This role offers a hybrid working model with 2 days in the office and 3 days remotely. As a key member reporting to the Group Finance Director and part of a collaborative team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficiency of the company's financial operations and supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts.
The ideal candidate should possess demonstrated practical experience in finance, prior exposure to management accounts, data analysis, and reporting. Strong communication skills, proficiency in IT with a focus on Excel, and familiarity with various accounting software are essential requirements.
