    Description

    LMP Group are looking for experienced tutorto deliver the BTEC Construction and Level 1 Certificate inIntroduction to Construction / Level 1 Award in Health and Safetywithin a Construction Environment for LMP Employability. The roleinvolves accredited delivery and assessment activities.

    The role will be teaching via Teams to adultsaged 19 to guide and support their learning and achievement oflevel 1 construction qualifications.

    Thesuccessful candidate is required to plan lessons effectively andensure that activities are differentiated towards individuallearner needs. Alongside this you will need to deliver trainingcoaching and assessment that effectively assists learners todevelop vocational skills to prepare learners forwork.

    Tasks

    Thebelow listed tasks/responsibilities are notexhaustive:

    • Plan lessonseffectively and ensure that activities are innovative anddifferentiated towards individual learners and that learner supportis effectively assessed reviewed implemented and evaluatedthroughout the learners journey.
    • Monitorlearners progression and ensure all forms of teaching learning andassessment for each element of the qualification is completedenabling learners to meet the criteria for achievement of thechosen qualification.
    • Train assess motivatementor and support learners assisting them to develop personal andsocial skills to better prepare them for work progression andlife.
    • Take part in standardisation and teammeetings and undertake continuing professional development asrequired.
    • Deliver outstanding teaching learningand assessment to learners.
    • Undertake regularand meaningful reviews with learners to ensure they remain engagedon the program and that they are progressing well relative to theirinitial starting point.
    • Promote and delivertraining in accordance with qualification and center guidelinesincluding the promotion of equality and diversity and prevent inlessons.
    • Adhere to all statutoryresponsibilities and ensure Health and Safety Safeguarding andPrevent policies and procedures are followed at alltimes.
    • Maintain high standards of quality andcompliance and complete all contractual paperwork and documentationas required.
    • Maintain learner recordsaccurately and ensure all evidence for all visits is readilyavailable and accessible for audit and qualitypurposes.
    • Implement any improvements identifiedas a result of performance reviews and internal qualityassurance.
    • To develop and maintain ownprofessional and occupational knowledge skills and experienceincluding formal training CPD and networking with fellowprofessionals. Incorporating selfreflection to improvepractice.
    • Ensure English and math is embeddedinto delivery as required or delivered stand alone asneeded.

    Requirements

    Qualifications(Essential)

    • Must haveLevel 2 Functional Skills English MathICT
    • Level 3 Award Assessing VocationallyRelated Achievement or equivalent.
    • PTLLS/ AETCET or DET Qualified (or equivalent)
    • Experienceworking in the Construction industry
    • In depthunderstanding of delivering BTEC and Highfield qualifications inconstruction

    Qualifications(Desirable)

    • Level 4Award in Quality Assurance of Assessment Process and Practice orequivalent
    • SENDqualifications
    • Teaching Degree orPGCE

    Experience

    • Proven experience ofonline/classroombased learning teaching and assessment History ofworking with people with complex barriers to progression and adultsaiming to enter/reenter employment
    • Experienceof internal quality assurance and knowledge of awarding bodyrequirements
    • Proven track record deliveringBTEC / Highfield vocational qualifications in construction

    • Excellentinterpersonal skills to be able to engage with young peoplecolleagues and school staff
    • Excellentcommunication skills verbal andwritten.
    • Ability to plan and organise ownlessons and assessment unsupervised
    • Able tomeet and exceed retention and achievement targets forqualifications and progression
    • A positiveapproachable team player with a candoattitude
