- English qualified lawyer or equivalent with experience at a City law firm

- Able to demonstrate a high level of technical skill and competence in corporate law particularly advising on AIM and Main Market transactions
- Solid understanding of AIM Rules, Listing Rules, Takeover Code and MAR and experience of advising corporate clients or investment banks/corporate finance boutiques in respect of such rules and regulations
- In-house counsel experience preferably within the financial services industry
- Experience of advising on GDPR, SMCR and/or MIFID II
- Ability to take into consideration the commercial impact of your advice
- Proven experience of managing competing demands which arise from advising on different transactions at the same time
- Work well as part of a team building strong relationships across the business
- Excellent legal technical ability relating to the application of relevant laws and regulations
- A practical approach and the ability to make clear and concise decisions
- Good communication skills (both written and oral)
- Ability to manage processes and projects autonomously, with limited supervision, as well as working collaboratively with a wider team
- Keen to learn and broaden skills and experience
- 8.30 – 5.30pm, Monday – Friday

Purpose of the Role:
This is a diverse role which will require a close working relationship with the Investment Banking Team. The ideal candidate will provide the team with legal support on AIM and Main Market IPOs, secondary fundraisings, takeovers and private M&A, with responsibility for advising on various transaction documents including engagement letters, NDAs, placing agreements and placing terms and conditions. Where required, you will also work with Compliance to provide regulatory advice for the benefit of the Investment Banking team.
Candidates should be seeking a hands-on role and have a willingness to undertake a variety of other tasks including advising on commercial contracts, supporting the company secretarial function both in relation to governance and operation of the Company's share schemes and assisting the HR team on an ad hoc basis. A keen pro-active drive is essential, as well as an enthusiasm for working with all parts of the business.
