    Description

    Job Title: Learning & Development Officer (3 months Fixed contract)

    Reports to: HR Performance Manager

    Salary: Scale 5, Points 23-25, £23,840 - £25,399 per annum, pro rata

    Hours of work: Full Time (37.5 hours per week)

    About the role:

    The individual in this position will oversee all administrative tasks within the L&D team and deliver a customer-focused service to internal staff/teams. They will manage the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring accuracy in all events, courses, evaluations, and attendance records uploaded for staff induction and ongoing learning. In addition, they will organize and administer training events, showcasing excellent customer service by responding promptly to queries.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate training bookings, venue hires, and maintain relationships with external providers.
    • Manage the e-learning platform and offer support as the main internal contact.
    • Assist in auditing training processes, suggesting innovative solutions for sessions redesign, and implementing a blended learning approach.
    • Support internal communication for learning initiatives organization-wide.
    • Handle initial queries from staff and providers.

    Role Responsibilities:

    • Demonstrate commitment to high performance and exceptional customer service.
    • Collaborate closely with the recruitment team and other colleagues.
    • Perform other relevant duties as required, displaying flexibility.
    • Participate in L&D meetings, training, and other essential events.
    • Carry out additional duties as assigned by the line manager.

    Qualifications: Level 2 Maths & English

    Role Experience:

    • Prior experience in Learning and Development or similar roles.
    • Proficient in administration.
    • Strong analytical skills and data interpretation ability.

    Knowledge:

    • Proficiency in business English and Maths.
    • Current knowledge of Employment Law to apply relevant legislation.

    Skills:

    • Effective communication skills, demonstrating empathy, clarity, and understanding of HR policies.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
    • Strong interpersonal skills, influencing ability, and advocacy for best practices.
    • Dynamic training delivery and presentation abilities.
    • Initiative, time management skills, and meeting deadlines.
    • Understanding of GDPR in relation to Learning & Development.

    Holidays:

    • 210 hours (28 days) annually, plus Bank holidays, pro rata
