Role Length:
This opening assignment is for 3 months City: Coalville, Leicestershire The purpose of the role is to undertake tasks designed to ensure the council's commercial properties are used, managed and maintained in a way that maximises financial, reputational, economic development and regeneration returns to the council.
Under the direction of the Property Services Team Manager, undertake tasks designed to ensure that operational properties are managed and maintained to deliver retained asset value, efficient use, safety and comfort and in accordance with corporate responsibilities.
Maintain accurate and up to date asset registers.Ensure that property related strategic risk plans are maintained.
Support the Property Services Team Manager to ensure that contracts related to the management and operation of council properties are procured to deliver maximised financial and other benefits to the council.
Play a key role in processing the disposal of council properties ensuring that maximum returns are achieve and transactions are completed efficiently.
Commission property valuations to support the council's property activities.Undertake and attend site inspections and site meetings in connection with and to ensure the good management of the council's property portfolio.
Provide property related advice and support to other council services such a Housing, Economic Regeneration and Community Services.Ensure the council's commercial properties are used, managed and maintained in a way that maximises financial, reputational, economic development and regeneration returns for the council.
