    Job title: Apprentice - Finance AssistantGrade: Dependent on experienceLocation: Lancaster, UK (in person, hybrid possible)Salary range negotiable: - full-time position
    Summary
    We are looking for a Finance Assistant Apprentice to perform a variety of bookkeeping, accounting, and financial tasks daily along with other office administration duties if required. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills at all levels, confident communication with suppliers and customers to resolve queries as well as with internal staff at all levels. This is an excellent opportunity for somebody to gain a fully funded qualification whilst getting on the job training.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    Main Activities
    • Bookkeeping for all of Yordas entities
    • Processing of purchase and sales invoices to the ledgers
    • Reconciliation of supplier/customer statements to the ledgers
    • Bank postings to the ledgers and month-end reconciliation
    • Credit control duties
    • Project administration
    • ERP support
    • Any other financial admin

    • Competency in Excel and Word
    • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets
    • Accuracy and attention to detail
    • Aptitude for numbers
    • Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
    • A proactive team player who is confident about working with others but also independently and can promptly escalate any issue.
