    Description

    Our client is a private investment office, one that invests for their clients on a long-term basis across both public and private asset classes, offering a truly focused approach to wealth management.

    The Founders have successfully built similar businesses before, this an early growth business that is well capitalised and debt-free. As part of its growth strategy, they are now looking for a mid-senior level Compliance Professional to join their team.

    This is the first pure Compliance hire for the business, reporting directly to the Head of Legal and Compliance. It is also a key hire and would suit someone looking for a long-term role, giving them the opportunity to grow with the business over the coming years.

    What will the role involve?

    Typical day-to-day compliance activities such as:

    • Review/maintain/draft compliance manual and policies;
    • Implement compliance processes and procedures;
    • Submit FCA filings, maintain compliance registers and compile compliance reports and reviews;
    • Carry out AML/KYC reviews, and Financial Crime requirements;
    • Maintain and implement the annual compliance calendar in a timely and effective manner;

    As well as supporting the business with structuring/launch/maintenance of AIFs and UCITS, and private equity co-investment access vehicles and related documentation.

    What skills are we looking for?

    • Experience in working in a Family Office/Wealth Management, and/or private equity;
    • A self-starter, a problem-solver and someone who is highly organised;
    • Someone who has solid time management and project management skills;
    • As this is a small close-knit business, it requires someone with a high EQ who can sensitively deal with staff at all levels from the support staff to the Founders.

    This is a broad, diverse compliance role; for the right person this role allows you to 'make your mark' and offers a huge amount of career development and prospects. Depending on the candidate, it can be offered on a part-time (circa 4 days per week) or full-time basis, with flexibility in working hours and hybrid working arrangements.

    A competitive base salary is on offer, along with an annual discretionary bonus and a solid benefits package (pension, life/medical/travel insurance etc.)
