    Senior Sous Chef

    Location: Mayfair, London

    Establishment: Pollen Street Social

    Schedule: Full-time, Tuesday to Saturday

    Reporting To: CEO & Executive Chef

    Future Opportunity: The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute at Pollen Street Social before being transferred to a new site in Central London in Summer/Autumn.

    Pollen Street Social, situated in the vibrant heart of London, epitomises elegance and innovation in British gastronomy. Renowned for our dynamic approach to culinary arts, we celebrate seasonal produce and locally sourced ingredients to craft exceptional dining experiences. As a Senior Sous Chef at Pollen Street Social, you'll play a vital role in our culinary team, collaborating closely with our esteemed Executive Chef, Dale Bainbridge, to uphold our standards of excellence.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Collaborate closely with the CEO to maintain impeccable food quality and presentation standards, ensuring consistency throughout.
    • Oversee and inspire the kitchen team under the Executive Chef's direction, fostering efficiency and positivity within the workspace.
    • Monitor food preparation processes to ensure adherence to recipes and uphold our high-quality standards.
    • Assist in managing kitchen inventory, striving to reduce waste and manage costs effectively.
    • Uphold stringent hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety protocols in line with health and safety regulations under guidance.
    • Provide guidance and support to junior kitchen staff, aiding in their skill development.
    • Support in sourcing and ordering premium ingredients from local suppliers, ensuring timely deliveries.
    • Contribute to the exploration of new culinary techniques and concepts to elevate the restaurant's reputation.

    Desired Qualifications

    • Demonstrated experience as a Senior Sous Chef or in a similar capacity within Michelin-starred restaurants.
    • Deep understanding of modern British cuisine and culinary methodologies.
    • Outstanding leadership and team management capabilities.
    • Creative flair and a genuine passion for the culinary arts.
    • Commitment to maintaining impeccable cleanliness and food safety standards.
    • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
    • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
    • Relevant culinary qualifications and certifications are advantageous.
