- Serves as the primary, accountable point of contact between CNA Hardy local business areas, the Technology Global Infrastructure team and the Local IT & Operations functions for demand management, innovation, operational excellence, and relationship management.
- Collaborates with senior business leaders and influences the Technology Global Infrastructure strategies, advising on capabilities needed for the CNA Hardy business areas, and while driving the implementation of strategy through solutions that are aligned with CNA Hardy's strategy and global infrastructure roadmap.
- Partners with senior business leaders to identify and prioritize high value business needs and helps develop business cases and document requirements for solutioning. In collaboration with Technology Global Infrastructure, is proactive in identifying and recommending high impact innovative solutions across the operating model.
- Facilitate the functional delivery of optimum service levels to drive operational performance and improve business success and helps facilitate solutions to challenges resulting from shared service performance and service issues. Serves as escalation point for infrastructure related issues to impacted business leaders.
- Convenes, leads, and coaches cross functional teams that are small to moderate in size or complexity, including internal staff and external partners, when solutioning for a business need or demand, or resolving a performance or service issue. Builds and cultivates strong relationships with external IT vendors, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services that meet organizational needs.
- Leads communications and reporting to senior business leaders at regular intervals, briefing them on overall plans, performance, and operational statistics for Infrastructure services. Engages other leaders with specialist knowledge within to participate in these meetings, as needed.
- Conducts meetings with IT, Ops & Facilities leaders, and their teams, providing an update on the Global Technology Infrastructure plans, performance, operational issues and statistics. Ensures technology teams are aware of Infrastructure plans and priorities, and ensure objectives are achieved, and service and performance issues are promptly resolved.
- Collaborates with project teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables. Coordinates and manages local IT projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives. Monitors progress, mitigate risks, and adapts to changing priorities, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budget constraints, and alignment with business goals.
- Negotiates contracts and agreements with vendors alongside the procurement function to optimize costs and services.
- Contributes to the development and implementation of IT policies, procedures, and standards, ensuring effective governance and compliance.
- Engages in research and competitive analysis to stay abreast of industry trends and best practices.
- May perform other duties as required.
- A solid understanding of IT Infrastructure solutions, support models and processes, their operations, and strategic direction.
- Previous experience in Infrastructure service management and business partnership preferred.
- Basic understanding of insurance products, operating models, key functions, and business processes.
- Solid understanding of technology people, process, assets and capabilities and the knowledge to leverage those (and future) capabilities to drive business value.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external business partners at all levels.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex topics in a non-technical and simplified manner.
- Strong consultative skills and professional maturity to compare and select complex alternatives. Ability to advice and counsel at senior leadership levels (technology function and business areas) to foster strategic alignment, and appropriately influence decisions.
- Ability to manage multiple and shifting priorities in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
- Ability to listen, build rapport and credibility as a strategic partner vertically and horizontally within the Global Technology Infrastructure leadership, as well as with the local CNA Hardy IT, Ops & Facilities leadership, and functional teams.
- Knowledge and awareness of industry trends and advances and proactively bringing innovative ideas to business units and technology partners.
- Strong project management, organising and planning skills.

Description
Position Summary
We are seeking to hire an Infrastructure Business Relationship Director to be based out of our London office.
This role is an individual contributor that provides technical leadership and support to CNA Hardy across all its business areas in UK and Europe. Deploys, and supports CNA's Technology Global Infrastructure's solutions in the region and influences the global roadmap to cater for needed local capabilities. Will define innovation opportunities, plans and services, driving IT infrastructure initiatives aligned with business goals, translating local business needs into globally supported technology solutions. Drives impactful projects that optimize efficiency, maximize technology ROI while serving as a best practices and quality resource. Will be versed in infrastructure solutions and associated support models and processes and is accountable for creating and maintaining strong relationships with senior leaders across CNA Hardy and the Global Technology function.
