    Sales Director: B2B Distributor, part of a larger group

    • Grow business across a varied customer base

    This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business and well-regarded UK division of an international B2B distributor. They have a broad product range, are financially secure and well placed for further growth across their varied customer base.

    Sales range from one-off purchases by SMEs to project-based bulk orders, to multiple orders across multiple locations with international blue-chip customers.

    They believe their UK business could double over the next 5 years.

    Hence, they are looking to recruit an experienced and successful Sales Director to develop and deliver the sales and wider commercial strategy for the business. With continued investment in people, technology and products, they have the foundations in place, along with a supportive senior team and a positive family-feel culture.

    Suitable candidates should have a successful track record in a similar senior Sales leadership role, along with experience in selling to a varied customer base with some kind of high SKU and/or complex sales process. Experience with international blue-chip accounts is also beneficial.

    Specific product or category knowledge is not essential. We're open to applications from various industries, whether that be product distribution or services. This appointment is more about sales leadership of the highest calibre combined with emotional intelligence and the ability to challenge the status quo and ultimately deliver a strategy via the team that leads to significant growth.

    We're looking for individuals with an analytical and strategic approach given the complexity of a large number of categories, SKUs and customers, along with credibility and gravitas. You'll also need plenty of energy, drive and dynamism. You should also be used to working in a business with advanced technology to support the sales process.

    Candidates living in the South of England are preferred, but in reality, this could be anywhere south of Birmingham – it's a role that will involve national travel and supporting the team with customer meetings.
