    Description

    Category Head position at a Leading Retail eCommerce Platform

    Quest Search & Selection is collaborating with a top retail eCommerce platform specializing in consumer goods and food delivery. They offer a wide range of products, from household essentials to fresh prepared food, and are currently experiencing growth.

    Key Responsibilities as a Category & Supply Chain Director:

    • Lead product range optimization, store ranges, and category allocations.
    • Manage a team of 5-7 Category & Supply Chain Managers.
    • Monitor price indices and adjust pricing policies.
    • Handle relationships with key accounts, ensuring adherence to cost prices and service standards.
    • Negotiate deals with key accounts and regional exclusives.
    • Balance range expansion, product availability, and waste minimization.
    • Provide insights for buying decisions and A/B tests to optimize availability.
    • Manage store efficiency, inventory fullness, and central distribution relationships.
    • Develop merchandising strategies for in-app product showcasing.
    • Analyze daily and weekly trade patterns for decision-making.

    Key Requirements for the Role:

    • 10+ years of experience in Category/Buying.
    • Experience in leading teams and strategic decision-making.
    • Experience in supply chain or Last-Mile Delivery preferred.
    • Data-savvy, analytical mindset with P&L responsibility.
    • Background in eCommerce, retail, supermarket, or FMCG.
    • Builder mentality with excellent communication and attention to detail.
    • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.
