    Description

    This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Bookkeeper to join their Hertfordshire office.

    Working with our fantastic client based in Hertfordshire for their fast-growing Accountancy Practice.

    What Will You Be Doing?

    • Manage bookkeeping services in an accurate and timely manner.
    • Ensure all client work is completed within applicable lodgement and work schedule deadlines.
    • Record clients' financial transactions
    • Prepare appropriate schedules and reports as requested by clients and partners.
    • Complete VAT returns and file VAT returns online.
    • Manage profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
    • File historical records and retrieve necessary documents as needed.
    • Record cash receipts and handling bank deposits
    • Ensure timesheets are completed daily and submitted weekly.
    • Ensure client assignments are completed in line with all relevant accounting and accounting standards.

    What will you bring?

    • Previous professional practice experience is essential
    • Solid understanding of accounting software
    • Good knowledge of Xero
    • Proficient experience with Sage Line 50
    • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook
    • Good knowledge of VAT law and compliance
    • Knowledge of CaseWare
