    Description

    Role – Head Cook/Chef – Together Levenmouth

    Salary info: generous holiday entitlement, 7.5% employer Aviva pension scheme and AXA group health cover.

    Status: 35 hours per week (varied 7 hour shift between 8:45am and 6:00pm and 10:00am and 4:00pm on Sunday with every second weekend off)

    Location: Together Hub, 45 High Street, Leven

    Together Levenmouth wants to be the beating heart of Leven High Street and we are growing our team to meet the demands of what the future holds.

    We have an opportunity as head of our kitchen to come on board and help us grow with our customer base and we are looking to stand out and get people coming to visit us as we pride ourselves on great customer service. We want our staff to enjoy their work so there won't be long 12+ hour shifts here.

    This post will support the daily running of BRAG's Together Levenmouth High Street Hub kitchen.

    The Hub currently houses Escape Rooms, 2 Crazy Golf Courses, a Café, and a pop-up event space that will all be looking for food. The right candidate will have the necessary skills to ensure the smooth daily operation of all food delivered to customers with a high standard.

    There will be potential to look at other opportunities within the hub to grow our menu aiming at different types of people and helping with employability from BRAG.

    The role will supervise and be under the control of the Hub Manager and Sales and Marketing Manager working to oversee contribute and to lead on all aspects of this diverse project. Tasks include:

    • Coming up with a menu that will attract the right customers but working with the marketing manager to make sure it is the right food for the hub.
    • Working with the equipment we must ensure high standards and consistency with what goes out to the customers.
    • Managing Food Health and Safety requirements, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and up to date.
    • Organise and manage the kitchen for smooth and speedy service.
    • Manage the kitchen staff and help by guiding and coaching them when needed.
    • Keeping the kitchen clean and washed down at the end of every shift.
    • Stock control and ordering – Working with management on the best way to do this.
    • Help us look at opportunities to use the hub's kitchen for possible events and later opening hours.
    • Focused on customer service, friendly, polite, and approachable.
    • Calm under pressure and able to work efficiently in a busy environment.
    • Able to communicate well, working well within a team and willing to be flexible and assist in other areas of the Café when required.
    • Help promote and market the business when possible.
    • managing own devolved budgets

    About You

    You will be a fun, friendly and confident character with 2+ years minimum running a kitchen or helping run a kitchen. You will be able to adapt to changing the menu if needed and looking at marketing opportunities like Valentines Day so we can put specials on.

    You must be a team player, passionate, easy-going but adaptable so we can help grow the Together brand as part of our charity offer .

    The Hub is the first of our High Street regeneration projects and we want to bring growth to Leven and its High Street and plan to grow the Together brand so there are plenty of opportunities for the right candidate.
