    Role – POS Techno functional Consultant

    Purpose of the Role In the role of a Lead Consultant you will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency to understand the POS hardware topology, hardware varieties, Network architecture, POS software knowledge, knowledgeable on POS payment landscape and other payment related systems ; play an important role in owning the in and out of labs, setting up hardware and configuring it right for the corresponding POS system to work right, configuring the payment related set up, managing and creating process to manage changes in POS to blend well hardware, create topology documents for supporting the network architecture and document all lab related information for implementation, transition and warranty; be part of a learning culture, where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged, excellence is rewarded, and diversity is respected and valued. Required Qualifications:
    • Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Infosys London offices or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel in the UK.
    • 12-15 years of experience in Information Technology
    • Program governance and Escalation point of contact for the program.
    • Experience in any POS products like NCR, S&B, Namos, GK etc.
    • Knowledge of POS peripherals like Printer, Scanner, Cashdrawer, Line display, Payment terminals etc.
    • Experience in integrating of Payment terminals and Payment solutions like Verifone, Ingenico, Adyen etc.
    • Operate in a fast-paced Agile delivery environment – working cross functionally with technology teams to achieve desired outcomes.
    • Effort tracking, status reports, communication, and coordination with stakeholders.
    • Managing the team to successfully meet the identified milestones and daily oversight on team activities.
    • Handling Release Management activities to make sure the labs are up to date with respect to software and hardware changes.
    • Impact Assessments: - Reviewing key events at client (such as a large program rollout, periodic releases, change of software products, broad/specific strategy shifts) for impact to the lab set up and suggest needed changes to the same proactively and making sure the lab system is set up for the program to be successful.
    • Managing the risks on the program, identifying mitigation strategies, flagging the necessary ones for the attention of the steering committees.
    • Identifying improvement opportunities in the program (tracking, monitoring, process, technology, hardware) and presenting the same to client.
    • Resource management: - Managing the holiday/vacation times, backup scheduling, staffing/planning.
    • Volume of work: - Tracking the volume of work and being responsible for identifying long term needs/changes to the team composition
    • Transitions: - Planning, scheduling, and tracking the transition activities, closely working with client's transition manager.
    • Implementation of quality standards and practices.
    • Participate in creating and utilizing KM artifacts, tools and accelerators etc.
    • Knows who customers are and communicates technical requirements to dependent teams. Defines data requirements in both technical and business terms that inform the success of programs.
    • Use software development life cycle and engineering knowledge to drive improvements and efficiencies.
    • Automation expertise to handle monitoring and installation process.
    • Possesses base level knowledge of technology (e.g. Cloud, APIs, services, Windows stack, open source, database technologies, etc.)

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • At least 6- 8 years of experience with collecting client requirements and translate these to project requirements.
    • At least 4-5 years of experience and exposure in POS ecosystem and landscape.
    • At least 4-5 years of experience in managing hardware labs in a retail / O&G environment.
    • At least 6-8 years of experience Project life cycle activities on development and maintenance projects.
    • Ability to work in team in diverse/multiple stakeholder environment.
    • Analytical skills
    • Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment
