- Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
- Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation
- Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking
- Assess, manage and mitigate risks
- Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers
- Determine quantity and timing of deliveries The Successful Applicant
A successful Purchasing Manager should have:
- A degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration
- CIPS - Not essential but desired
- Proven working experience in product management
- Great attention to detail
- Managing a Team of three Purchasing Administrators
- Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers
- Experience in collecting and analysing data
This role is Hybrid with 2 office days per week at Head office based in Cheltenham What's on Offer - A competitive salary range of £40,000 to £50,000 per annum
